Procurement, Sourcing Manager (Hybrid)

GEICO’s Procurement is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to establish effective governance and execution of GEICO’s strategic sourcing strategy.  We are seeking a candidate with experience leading stakeholder engagements while leading strategic sourcing engagements across a wide range of business lines including Professional Services, HR Services, Marketing Services as well as Tech.  

The Sourcing Manager will be an expert practitioner in the tools and processes for creating competitive sourcing environments with a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of sourcing processes, tools, and training to drive sourcing best practices and consistencyDevelopment of strategic sourcing initiatives through the introduction of a competitive marketplace, demand management, and supplier consolidationCategory expertise to identify cost drivers/trends to create procurement strategies across the categoryOwn the full strategic sourcing cycle, including supplier identification and selection, price negotiation, contract negotiations, and executive stakeholder engagementsManagement of competitive bid processes including RFP's, RFI's, RFQ'sLead and drive the planning and management of a pipeline of strategic sourcing projects

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or relevant experienceStrong project management, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skillsProven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to sourcing processesExperience running sourcing events across multiple industry categories, including professional services and Tech engagementsExperience with gathering and ensuring customer requirements are met during the sourcing process across multiple business linesExperience communicating with senior management and responding to their inquiries and requestsExcellent communication and time management skills; able to communicate issues and solutions to diverse audiencesProvide problem-solving and innovative ideas to support internal customersDemonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors to more effectively position GEICO to receive the best value proposals for the corporation

 Desired Qualifications

4-year degree with Finance, Business Administration, or Supplier Management majorExperience with a large service providerExperience with contract management systems

Annual Salary

$72,000.00 - $154,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
