SUMMARY
Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for the company by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
+ Reviews supply or service requests, research, and compares potential/existing suppliers, negotiates to obtain best product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
+ Facilitates introduction of new materials and services as requested.
+ Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.
+ Requests and evaluates bids to determine best value and maintains bid information until material is ordered.
+ Requests cost proposals, negotiates contracts based on supplier proposals, within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
+ Processes requisitions, issues purchase orders, verifies receipts and supporting procurement documents.
+ Processes invoices for non-purchase order goods and services.
+ Monitors inventory levels, flow of goods and services, determines purchasing needs and expedites orders as required.
+ Maintains up to date files and reports including procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories, supplier files, scorecards, and audits.
+ Monitors and evaluates supplier performance with regards to product quality, invoicing accuracy and on-time delivery of goods and services. Initiates corrective action if needed.
+ Understanding of inventory management software.
+ Performs job duties with accuracy, timeliness, and awareness of confidentiality.
+ Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations .
+ Works as a team player, assisting coworkers as required.
+ Travel to Water Products one day per month.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and 3 to 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
