ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

The Procurement Analyst is an individual contributor role reporting to a category or support function manager within Key’s Corporate Procurement group.  The Procurement Analyst is a shared resource typically supporting a manager and a small group of Strategists.  Under general supervision, responsibilities for a Procurement Analyst include: reviewing, analyzing and summarizing relevant data for assigned category or support team, supporting Procurement Management and Strategists in the execution of identified strategies and preparing and presenting information/findings in a concise and understandable format.  Success criteria include: basic analytical skills, timely and effective handling of daily requests through organization and prioritization, ability to work independently, collaboration with team members at multiple levels and ability to establish reputation as a knowledgeable and responsive team player.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Analyze, summarize and present relevant data for assigned category or support team

Conduct basic analysis on spend data, etc. to support strategy development and executionSummarize and present findings in a concise and understandable formatUtilize solid written communication skills in the development of presentations, email communications, etc.Utilize MicroSoft tools including; Excel, Powerpoint, Word as needed to deliver informationProactively update and manage department tracking tools and data repository as neededStrategic decisions are made based on accurate data and informationInformation and findings are communicated in a thorough and concise mannerImportant data and information are maintained and readily accessible

Support Category Managers and Strategists in the development and execution of identified category or LOB strategy

Provide day-to-day assistance to Category Managers and Strategists in assigned area in support of business objectivesOrchestrate, organize and prioritize assignments to support needs of the group and/or businessAsk insightful questions; demonstrate ability to surface and escalate basic issues/ problems that ariseUse judgement and escalate issues/ exceptions as neededSupport Strategists in monitoring vendor’s adherence to established performance metricsPossess basic level of knowledge and familiarity with processes and subject matter for assigned category or support areaDemonstrate proficiency with bank and department-specific systemsCategory Managers and Strategists are able to focus on strategic-level work and assignmentsWorkload is organized and prioritized based on needs of the businessIssues are identified and escalated; risk is mitigatedLevel of support is elevated given the level of business knowledge

Develop effective and collaborative relationships

Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Category Managers, Strategists and other Analysts within and outside assigned functional areaDemonstrate ability to partner with Procurement Support teams including: Legal, Solutions, Third-Party Risk Mgmt, etc.Act as team player open to participating on project teams and supporting other areas of the business as neededCategory Managers, Strategists and peers rely on Analyst as approachable, knowledgeable and responsive resourceAnalyst has collegial and professional relationship with, and is respected by, management, co-workers and partners

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree1– 3 years minimum experience (could include internships, involvement in school programs, etc.)Ability to analyze, summarize and present simple to moderately complex data in a concise and understandable formatBasic written and oral communication skillsDetail-oriented; ability to organize and prioritize workloadPossesses solid client focus; is efficient and delivers in a timely mannerAbility to work independently on routine matters with general supervisionQuickly grasps new ideas, techniques and insightsComfort level working with diverse team at various levels within ProcurementDemonstrated ability to develop baseline level of functional/banking knowledge; understands client’s strategyAdept with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $55,00.00 to $70,000.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
