The Procurement Manager Capex is an EMEA regional category management role, responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate and market leading sourcing strategies. **About the role**
Reporting to the Associate Director Plant Indirect EMEA, the Procurement Manager Capex is responsible for collaborating with the Global Category Managers in the development of Global Sourcing Strategies, as well as the development of Regional and Local Strategies where appropriate. It is the responsibility of the Procurement Manager Capex to ensure the successful implementation of all strategies in the EMEA region and the corresponding construction and capital equipment projects. Implementation commonly covers procurement aspects of supplier qualification, bidding & supplier selection, risk mitigation programs (including EH&S), negotiation and contract execution.
The Procurement Manager Capex is responsible for the collation and reporting of BD EMEA’s regional 5 year capex program, and ensuring the appropriate strategies are developed in time to support the successful delivery.
Capex projects span a wide variety of applications from Headquarter Offices to Medical Technology Manufacturing. Commonly, these projects are being undertaken across the EMEA region.
The Procurement Manager Capex is responsible for achieving savings targets in assigned categories and for developing value plans for the assigned supply base including Supplier Relationship Management and compliance activities.
The Procurement Manager Capex is responsible for managing complex relationships with internal senior stakeholders, and handles a wide range of two-way communications. Close collaboration with the Global Category Managers and Category Manager peers is also essential.
**Main responsibilities will include:**
+ Collaborating with the Global Category Managers in the development of Global Sourcing Strategies, as well as the development of Regional and Local Strategies where appropriate.
+ Successful implementation of all Procurement strategies in the EMEA region and the corresponding construction projects.
+ Drives responsibilities with a large degree of autonomy, requiring minimal day-to-day oversight by immediate supervisor.
+ Develops and maintains active communication with key internal and external collaborators.
**About you**
+ Passion to inspire change in a dynamic, growing business environment
+ Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field
+ CIPS qualified or equivalent.
+ Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in multi-national corporate environment, of which minimum 3 years in a strategic sourcing or category management role.
+ Advanced understanding of procurement within the construction industry
+ Solid understanding of Source-to-procure process and proficiency in applying associated sourcing tools and techniques
+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally
+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English.
