We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. **Summary** The Procurement Category Manager will establish a long-term, 1-3 year category plan for moderately sized construction, maintenance and capital equipment categories to drive value across our manufacturing plants. This strategy development work is done in partnership with the various business unit stakeholders across the plants. Category strategies include spend analysis/mapping, external market analysis, vendor management and establishing a multi-year project portfolio. He/She will also lead sourcing projects based on the category strategy and on-demand project from the respective stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** + Develops category plan and portfolio for moderately sized construction, maintenance and capital equipment categories with mid to high-level critically and complexity. + Builds strong stakeholder relationships to prioritize and deliver on portfolio projects. + Manages strategic vendor relationships and performance to ensure delivery of service, quality, cost and supply commitments. + Lead sourcing projects including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development. **Typical Education** Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university is preferred. **Relevant Experience** + 3+ years relevant Project Engineer, Project Management and/or Procurement experience and/or training + Knowledge/experience in a commercial/procurement role + Knowledge working in business or functional unit supported by the category + Good sales, presentation, negotiation, sourcing and market/data analytic skills + MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc..) + “Should Cost” modeling + Strategic Cost Management **Required Certifications** **Other Information** Employment is contingent upon a successful pre-employment drug screening **Job Requisition ID** : 21675 **Travel Required** : Up to 50% **Location(s)** : ABW Plant - Rock Springs, ABW Frontier Office - Pocatello, Simplot Headquarters - Boise **Country:** United States ****The J.R.
