Purpose of the Role\:
The Procurement Contract Specialist II plays a critical role in supporting Worley’s vision of delivering sustainable change by managing contracts for services, equipment, materials, and products. The position ensures the efficient procurement of resources that enable our projects to meet both present and future energy, chemicals, and resource needs. This role supports our ambition to lead sustainability efforts by applying innovative procurement strategies that contribute to our clients' success and sustainability targets.
Key Responsibilities\:
Manage and administer contracts related to services, equipment, and materials, ensuring alignment with Worley’s strategic objectives and sustainability goals. Collaborate with internal teams to identify, solicit, and select reliable contractors who can deliver specialty and construction services that support project execution. Negotiate contract terms and conditions that drive value creation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. Oversee contractor performance and ensure the timely delivery of services, products, and equipment to meet project objectives while adhering to sustainability-related targets. Support the proposal preparation process, including customer negotiations and contract administration, ensuring contracts are executed efficiently and in line with project goals. Provide guidance and approvals for contractor payments, ensuring that the required services are delivered effectively and in compliance with financial policies. Utilize judgment and experience to plan and accomplish varied, complex tasks, solving issues that arise during contract execution while keeping the sustainability promise in focus. Lead or provide technical guidance to smaller teams on common projects, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing. Continuously monitor and adapt procurement processes to support evolving priorities and ensure alignment with Worley’s sustainability ambition. *Qualifications / Skill Set\:
A university degree in a related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience, reflecting deep expertise in procurement and contract management. At least five years of experience in procurement or contract administration, with a proven track record of working within energy, chemicals, or resources sectors. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to develop and manage contracts that drive sustainable value while meeting project and organizational objectives. Proficient understanding of procurement processes, tools, and systems, with the capability to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate ideas, influence decisions, and engage in collaborative problem-solving with internal teams and external contractors. Self-motivated, capable of working under minimal supervision while managing multiple complex tasks and aligning work with broader company goals. Experience providing technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering sustainable change.Moving forward together
