As a Cheesecake Procurement Coordinator Intern you will play an integral part in supporting our Purchasing department by assisting with ongoing projects and responsibilities that relate to your future career. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how a Procurement department functions by interacting with the entire team as well as cross functionally with other departments. Reporting to the Director of Global Procurement, you will work with a Purchasing team of 20 staff members, located in Calabasas Hills, CA, supporting the Procurement function for a $3.4 billion public company with over 300 restaurants and more than 47,500 staff members. Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Purchasing Support: Assist in supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and workflow compliance to ensure optimal cost savings and supply availability. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze procurement and supplier performance data to identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Category Management: Support the development of category strategies by researching market trends, evaluating supply/demand curve risk, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve sourcing decisions. Process Optimization: Assist in streamlining procurement processes by identifying automation opportunities, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting implementation of best practices. What we require: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution. Completed a minimum 2 years in post-secondary education. Majoring in Science, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
