Job Responsibilities:
As head of Procurement Excellence Americas, this position is responsible to drive progress, digitalization, efficiency, supply chain sustainability and quality in WACKER procurement organizations of the region Americas (US and Brazil).
Efficiency: local rollout and adoption of the state-of-the-art tools & systems in alignment with the global Procurement Excellence function. Drive and coordinate activities to increase procurement efficiency with local procurement teams. Analytics & reporting: coordinate the monthly report, address and align local requirements with the global function. Coordination of tailor-made analysis for procurement in the Americas. Supplier Quality & Sustainability Management: coordination of the supplier management cycle, sustainability management in the supply chain, complaint management, IMS and quality management (e.g. certifications) of vendors Disciplinary team lead in the US, functional lead for Procurement Excellence topics in the Americas Coordination of training and change management activities in Procurement
Coordination of the Vendor (Quality) Management Process in the US, in particular: Onboarding, qualification and offboarding, Supplier classification, Relationship matrix, Sustainability management, especially Together for Sustainability (TfS), Supplier evaluation, Follow up processes and lead continuous improvement/lessons learned, Complaint management, Development, coordination, communication and monitoring of the corresponding processes in the sense of best practice IMS and process coordination lead and implementation Process ownership of US Procurement and Logistics (PL) Directives (Policies & Procedures) and support PL leadership to ensure corporate compliance, robustness and efficiency Support of PL leadership in enabling the organization to apply the processes efficiently. Lead and coordination of quality management and IMS within PL as well as with other areas (e.g. IATF, ISO, IMS, customer audits, etc.). In particular, project management in the interpretation and implementation of new requirements in a sustainable and efficient/lean way (e.g. IATF or Supply Chain Act). Empowerment, coaching and training of WACKER US PL organization in the implementation of processes Lead and coordination of processes and programs to ensure the required knowledge and skill development according to best practices (e.g. compulsory training) Develop and lead training programs for continuous improvement of the skills of PL employees, incl. further development of the training programs with PL leadership Represent US PL in WACKER's internal sustainability and quality committees WACKER US representative in the TfS initiative Coordination of Scope 3 emissions activities in PL Execution of tailor-made data analyses and preparation of standard reports for WACKER US Procurement Power user role, development and enhancement of the procurement dashboards with focus on the US Procurement needs in close collaboration with central PL-X Prioritization, local rollout and change management for new systems in close collaboration with central PL-X with focus on Economy, Efficiency, productivity, automation, Support of purchasing goals and strategies, User Acceptance. Continuous process analysis, development and implementation of efficiency potentials / Best practices in cooperation with corresponding units Support in the further development of the culture, the organization and the interaction of the teams within Procurement Excellence and with the interfaces in cooperation with other teams with a focus on innovation, best practices, efficiency Taking over global Procurement Excellence projects in close collaboration with central team
Requirements:
5+ years, experience, +3 years of experience in a large multinational corporate Procurement department, and/or in a corporate department working directly with the Procurement organization Proven experience in Supplier, Sustainability Management, and/or Quality Management, preferred Proven and successful project management experience in a lead role Minimum Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred in business administration, information technology, computer science, or natural sciences (mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry) Proven experience in the successful implementation of procurement related IT/IS systems in large multinational companies, preferred +1 year in corporate leadership role in a large multinational corporate Procurement & Logistics department, and/or in a Supplier Quality/Development department, and/or in a Sustainability/Quality Management department, and/or in a corporate IT department.
