You will ensure BASF competitiveness through effective sourcing activities which ensure business continuity and industry leading cost positions while ensuring safe and compliant processes and supplier relationships. **As a Procurement Hub Manager, you create chemistry by...** + Leading a team of BASF Technical Procurement Buyers focused on purchasing technical goods and services. As an effective leader, you will be supervising, mentoring, and directing the workflow of direct reports, setting high performance standards, and leading continuous improvement efforts within the organization. + Demonstrating your skills in contract negotiations while successfully managing the sourcing process (RFI, RFQ, RFP, etc.) for key contracts and complex negotiations to secure the most competitive supply advantage for BASF. + Supporting the development of supply strategies for the North American region by collaborating closely with the sites and Procurement Category Management to create and implement sourcing strategies for products related to this portfolio, both directly and through your team. + Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures for your team and supporting behavior management with internal stakeholders to achieve the same, which is a key success factor for this role. + Successfully engaging across the business to foster a collaborative and integrated working relationship between Technical Buyers and other functions such as Engineering, Legal, and Business Units to jointly achieve success in sourcing activities. + Interacting with Category Buyers, business stakeholders, and central and regional Engineering teams, while working closely with the Legal group on contractual matters. + Utilizing your business and financial acumen, along with your demonstrated achievement of results—including generating savings, creating value, and managing supplier relationships—to set procurement targets that ensure the successful completion of sourcing events. **If you...** + Have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Purchasing, Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. + Possess at least 10 years of professional experience in Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, or Production/Operations/Manufacturing.
