Summary & Responsibilities:
The Purchasing Intern will gain exposure and experience in:First-hand experience of the work cycle associated with the procurement of goods and servicesExperience the critical interfaces of Procurement with the other vital functions in the business enterpriseParticipate in the challenging and dynamic aspects of interactions with a large, global, industrial based supply baseApply critical thinking skills applied to prioritized projects and programsExperience first-hand the opportunity to gather relevant data, establish a project plan, prepare a proposal, seek approval and execute a planGain exposure to industry standards and best practices for manufacturing-based processes and productsMeeting a diverse group of dedicated professionals and peers who are driven by continuous learning, improving the products and processes, and who are inspired to grow in new markets with innovative productsCompleting challenging and meaningful projects in a face paced environmentFunctioning as a critical liaison between manufacturing team, the supply base, and the company’s internal organizationAnalyzing, preparing, and reporting on business-critical information to the broader Procurement teamOffer valuable continuous improvement recommendations on various technical and business-based processes within ProcurementExperience & Qualifications:
Education Requirement: College undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university, pursuing an academic field of study related to Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or Management.Due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Intern must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.Competencies & Behaviors:
