Procurement Knowledge and Process Spec

The Procurement Knowledge and Process Specialist is responsible for capturing, organizing, and providing knowledge-based services to the procurement function and other related stakeholders. The role focuses on managing and refining the transactional purchasing process and procedures to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisitions.

 

Day-to-Day Role: 

Help ensure procurement policies and procedures comply with organizational goals and objectives Assist in developing and implementing standardized training programs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals Provide training and support to procurement staff on procurement policies and procedures Help develop and implement communication plans for all changes related to procurement processes and policies Assist in monitoring for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement Continuously improve procurement processes by identifying and proposing process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs Analyze procurement data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings Prepare and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to track performance and progress

 

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business, supply chain, technical or related field of study and industry procurement experience working cross-functionally with operations, logistics and/or manufacturing groups Experience with central purchasing systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Demonstrated knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and/or best practices Demonstrated knowledge of technology, trends and/or best practices in the supply chain function Effective problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills to manage processes Experience managing and executing multiple tasks, projects and priorities
