Your role and responsibilitiesJob Summary: Ensures the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the business(es). Executes assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures.•\tExecutes purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Actively manage suppliers’ performance and relationships.•\tDesigns and implements plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets and support Global sourcing initiatives as required.•\tSupports the Operations Manager in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.•\tAdheres to ABB supplier guidelines, qualification policies and procurement standards.•\tTakes accountability for the procurement processes and activities and creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards. Tracks Internal and supplier performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality issues, and resolves issues related to their area of responsibility.•\tLiaises with Suppliers / Vendors and negotiates pricing to meet assigned project budgets. Manages local Inventory for 3rd party equipment.•\tSupports trade compliance activities, including preparing export documents for cross-border shipments, coordinates with logistics companies, customs brokers and implements updates or changes related to purchasing and logistics within their scope of responsibility.•\tDelivers and participates in training programs as required to ensure compliance and foster professional development. Ensure effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers.
Qualifications for the role5+ Years of experience in a similar role.SCM & Logistics experience.SAP Knowledge.Demonstrates ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
