Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of Fifteen commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Title: Procurement Manager

 

Duties: Novel Laboratories, Inc., seeks a Procurement Manager based out of Somerset, New Jersey to conduct procurement activities. Developing procurement strategies for the purchasing of materials and services used in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. Source and procure API, RLD, excipients, packaging materials, lab consumables, and analytical testing for pharmaceutical research and development. Organize the technical packages/DMF packages and other services at pre-development, lab scale development, prototype development, exhibit batches, submission of ANDA, and validation through commercialization stages. Consult with internal stakeholders to develop or confirm materials specifications and needs. Manage supplier and product change controls. Identify opportunities to leverage the company’s spend/volume and implement long term vendor rebates. Forecast supply chain requirements and order products to meet sales demands. Ensure that purchases meet quality, cost, timelines, and functionality requirements. Accomplish vendor and product qualifications, change controls, risk assessment, networking, and negotiations. Support category spend assessments, RFQ (Request for Quote) development, supplier selection, price negotiation, and bid evaluation processes. Maintain relationships with vendors to stay current with trends, technologies, products, and services. Support PO (order) processing, release, and approval in SAP and ensure that purchasing data is entered into the applicable systems. Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for process improvement. Annual salary: $124,446.00.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Materials Management, or a related field plus one year of procurement experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following: 1. Developing procurement strategies for the purchasing of materials and services used in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations; 2. Sourcing and procuring API, RLD, excipients, packaging materials, lab consumables, and analytical testing for pharmaceutical research and development; 3. Forecasting supply chain requirements and order products to meet sales demands; and 4. Supporting category spend assessments, RFQ (Request for Quote) development, supplier selection, price negotiation, and bid evaluation processes.

Physical Requirements

Generally work is performed in an office environment.
