A DAY IN THE LIFE Responsible for purchasing, expediting, logistics management, and supplier quality surveillance activities on projects $500M+ Develop and perform upfront procurement planning activities, such as establishing purchasing and subcontract strategies Create and manage project-specific templates, reports, and tools that align with project and company objectives Work collaboratively with the project team during the procurement process, from identifying needs to supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to determine material and service requirements for various projects Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends to ensure competitiveness Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules Maintain and manage procurement documentation and records for transparency and audit purposes Analyze procurement data and prepare reports for senior management to inform decision-making Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations throughout the procurement process Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers Prepare purchasing master pro forma documents NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, construction, or business management 10-15 years of experience in supply chain logistics or construction purchasing Experience in expediting supplier quality management and/or material management Proficiency in the formation and administration of purchase orders from bidder prequalification to disputes Experience in applying efficient procurement processes, structures, and analytical tools Highly developed analytical and communication skills, combined with a structured work style and a pragmatic hands-on approach Ability to challenge "conventional" thinking, consider others' views, and convince with facts considering a proactive approach to overcome resistance Knowledge of suppliers and markets trends MAKE YOUR MOVE We are proud to be one of the fastest-growing, privately-owned companies in America, celebrating over 30 years of experience as design-build experts.
