Procurement Manager

We are seeking an inquisitive procurement professional eager\r\nto join our Strategic Procurement Delivery team, supporting across all\r\ncategories (Health, Estates and Facilities Management, Digital and IT and\r\nBusiness Services areas).

You will lead on multiple procurement projects for our NHS\r\nCustomers, being responsible for the end to end procurement strategy. You’ll\r\nalso play a key role in guiding, training, and supporting our customers—helping\r\nthem navigate the process with confidence while driving value and excellence.

Although this position is predominantly home-based, there\r\nwill be regular onsite meetings at our Salford office once per month, and\r\nnational travel to supplier and client sites when required.

What you'll be doing:

Leading\r\n Procurement projects (prioritisation, pre-tendering activities, tendering,\r\n selection, evaluation, moderation and potentially contract negotiation).Providing\r\n high quality customer centric procurement and service design advice to\r\n external customers whilst supporting the team in delivery of projects.Nurturing\r\n positive, collaborative, and supportive professional relationships with\r\n internal collaborators and external customers, as well as actively\r\n generating and establishing relationships with new customers.Actively\r\n generating opportunities for future work through the ongoing development\r\n of professional networks of contacts across the NHS and wider public\r\n sector.Horizon\r\n scanning in order to identify development and new opportunities for new\r\n and existing customers.

What you’ll bring:

CIPS\r\n L4 or willingness to undertake.Experience\r\n and/or knowledge or working with the NHS and/or Public Sector.Experience\r\n in the full procurement process, including leading tendering projects and\r\n framework call offs.Knowledge\r\n of Procurement Contract Regulations 2015, Provider Selection Regime and\r\n New Procurement Act 2023.Knowledge/\r\n experience of Procurement ERP systems, eSourcing tools.Working\r\n experience with internal & external collaborators of various levels.Excellent\r\n IT and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)General\r\n commercial awareness
