As a Procurement Manager for Contract Manufacturing you will lead the identification, sourcing and negotiations for third-party contract manufacturers, ensuring a competitive advantage for BASF. You will work closely with the BASF business units, procurement network and qualified suppliers, to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for third-party contract manufacturing projects.

Engaging in identification, selection, contract negotiation, and implementation of contract manufacturing projects at third-party contract manufacturers for several BASF business units.Continuously identifying potential contract manufacturers and innovative production technologies and assess their capability and potential fit to BASF. Understanding market trends relevant to the outsourced processes and impact on supply availability and pricing of products procured, partnering with R&D, Marketing, and Manufacturing to develop economic and reliable contract manufacturers for new projects or plans. Engaging across the organization to interact with various levels within the Business Unit (e.g., supply chain planners, technology managers, product managers, business managers, business VPs) and the BASF legal team to execute appropriate confidentiality and commercial agreements and BASF technical resources to ensure adequate technology transfer from BASF to third-party contract manufacturers.Conducting periodic visits to contract manufacturers with business unit partners to ensure they meet technical, financial and business requirements of BASF.Working in coordination with BASF EHS resources, you will maintain approved lists of contract manufacturers and ensure regulatory involvement when needed.If you...
Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with background in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline. Have 3+ years of experience in business; specifically in areas such as Manufacturing, Process Development, Product Management, or similar fields. Possess excellent interpersonal skills; enabling effective engagement with individuals at various levels. Have exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
