2x Procurement Officer – Mining
Location: Subiaco, WA
Contract Duration: 6-Months Initial Contract (with possibility of extension)
Work Schedule: 5 Days in Office
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our mining team on a 6-month contract (with the possibility of extension). This role requires someone with a solid procurement background who is capable of hitting the ground running in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You'll be working in a somewhat evolving structure, so adaptability and problem-solving skills are essential.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, including processing a high volume of purchase orders (POs), onboarding vendors, and managing service providers. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with processing plants, mobile equipments, and fixed plants. You must also be comfortable working with SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Purchase Orders (POs) across various categories in the mining industry. Onboard vendors and service providers efficiently, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Support procurement for processing plants, mobile equipment, and fixed plants. Work with internal teams to ensure the smooth running of procurement activities. Navigate and manage an evolving structure and support the team with procurement challenges as they arise. Leverage your BAU knowledge to ensure continuity in daily operations, especially under changing circumstances. Be proficient in SAP.
Key Requirements:
At least 5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within the mining industry. Extensive experience in managing procurement for processing plants, mobile equipment, and fixed plants. Proven track record in handling a high volume of purchase orders and managing vendor relationships. Solid experience onboarding vendors and working with service providers. Strong experience working with SAP (S4HANA knowledge a bonus). Ability to thrive in a evolving environment and navigate complex, disorganized structures. Strong BAU knowledge of procurement processes in operations-heavy environments. Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
