We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist 4 in Fort Worth, Texas, 76131, United States. In this role, you will be a key player in shaping and managing the sourcing strategy within a defined category or sub categories. Your expertise will be crucial in engaging with senior stakeholders, overseeing the sourcing process, and providing sourcing and procurement advice to various business sectors.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of category strategy plans, sourcing pipelines, and procurement processes for sourcing goods and services.
• Engage closely with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and align them with the business strategy.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies and best practices.
• Guide key sourcing activities for business projects, ensuring timely delivery and budgeting with appropriate risk management.
• Cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with key strategic suppliers while identifying potential new partners.
• Monitor compliance with the business' sourcing process, providing internal consultancy for each stage in the process.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the business drivers and how they influence the business strategy.
Requirements • Proficiency in materials handling and supply chain management
• Experience in planning processes and budgeting
• Strong negotiation skills, specifically in the context of procurement
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and partners
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of risk management in procurement processes
• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers
• Experience in sourcing and decision-making in procurement
• Ability to create and understand Business Requirement Documents
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance and procurement efficiency
• Experience in contract administration and contract negotiations
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert in procurement
• Knowledge of business strategy in relation to procurement
• Experience in category management and strategic source activities
• Ability to develop source strategy in line with organizational goals
• Ability to monitor compliance in procurement processes
