Overview:

2020 Companies is now interviewing for a Procurement Specialist to work within our Corporate location overlooking Texas Motor Speedway. 

 

The Procurement Specialist will manage the company's supply of products and services. This position will strategize to find cost effective pricing and suppliers for all procurement request and work with vendors. This position will also discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses so the company can invest in growth and people.

Job Description:

Devising and using procurement and sourcing strategiesWork with program leaders to understand specifications of items to be sourcedDiscovering cost effective suppliers and initiate procurement partnershipsNegotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous termsFinalize purchase details of orders and deliveriesExamine and test existing contractsTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessCollaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the companyPerform risk management for supply contracts and agreementsControl spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costsMonitor supply quantities for apparel, tools, promotional items and other collateral items via online systems & physical countsReview, approve & dispute (when needed) invoices from various suppliers & vendorsPutting out requests for proposals to suppliers/vendorsCreate invoices for products/services sold to clients and customers

Qualifications:

Proven working experience as a Procurement SpecialistKnowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the marketTalent in negotiations and networkingKnowledge of supplier or third party management softwareAptitude in decision-making and working with numbersExperience in collecting and analyzing dataDegree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

While this is a desk job with prolonged periods of sitting it will be necessary to lift and move up to 50 lbs.  Additionally, this position will be required to:

Sit for 2+ hours per dayHear alarms/telephone/tape recorders/horns/normal voicesTest sample items for durability, fit & finishStand up for extended periodsBend at waistHave clarity of vision
