Role description:

Arcadis are excited to again be growing their Nuclear team. We are looking for talented procurement professionals to join our team to work on a range of Nuclear projects across new build, decommissioning, defence and other emerging markets / technologies in the Nuclear space. You will be part of an industry-leading team, where you can apply your skills to national & international challenges across energy mega programmes & projects.
As part of our Cost Management team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of commissions from global and high profile to small and impactful, ensuring they’re to the delivered to the quality standard, on time, and to budget. Your expertise in sourcing strategy development, procurement planning, sourcing, and awarding supply chain appointments will drive growth and embrace smarter working.

As a Procurement Specialist you will join a team of procurement, commercial, programme, and project professionals delivering a broad range of services in support of the delivery of client commissions within the nuclear sector (civil, decommissioning, and defence). Your role will see you play a key part in the successful and optimum provision of required goods, works, and services from the supply chain to ensure the associated delivery of scope, schedule and cost against an assigned portfolio or programme/project. 

Role accountabilities:

Delivers best value solutions for all allocated commercial activities based on optimising the balance between cost and risk. Identifies and drives innovative solutions and methodologies and identifies opportunities to enhance the Company’s supply chain and commercial performance and practice. Manages and leads the supply chain activities within own portfolio area. Activities include providing the following for complex high value and/or high risk sub contract requirements: Creating and managing plans for the activity within their category Developing category strategies and risk assessments Supporting sub-contract specifications Leading the tender process from commencement to completion within their portfolio of work Leads negotiations and relationships with suppliers Competent in preparing strategy documents, business cases and other written business documentation relative to own portfolio area Proactively manages contracts / agreements / categories / relationships with suppliers within their agreed portfolio applying the Supplier Relationship Management process

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally MCIPS or working towards acreditation. Experience with Public Procurement Regulations and understands the impending changes due and the associated requirements.  Expert in NEC 3 suite of contracts, specifically Options A, C and E, Term Service Contracts and Short Form Contracts. Ideally experienced in NEC 4 suite of contracts
