Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the Requisition through Supplier Payment process, manages the review of purchase requisitions within designated categories and spend parameters, ensuring accurate PO issuance and management in compliance with internal policies. Additionally, the role supports the PO confirmation & blocked payment resolution processing, GR/IR issue resolution, & Supplier Performance activity through direct engagement with the Indirect Strategic Sourcing team when required. This role is based out of our **Stamford, CT** HQ with a hybrid work schedule **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:** •Review purchase requisitions, submitted by internal stakeholders, to ensure structured correctly, all required information provided, and aligned with policies and procedures. •Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchase need, ensuring purchase order accuracy supporting business requirements. •Work closely with Indirect Strategic Sourcing team in determining vendor sourcing strategy for the requested purchase. •Interact with suppliers regarding purchase orders, supplier inquiries and invoice resolution. •Confirm applicable commercial details between the purchase requisition and supplier quote/contract are included upon issuing the Purchase Order. •Adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in procurement processes. •Support business owner and Accounts Payable in proper/timely financial close of PO’s including monitoring of goods receipts (GR) and invoice receipt (IR), timely payments to suppliers and closing the PO when needed per business requirements. •Utilize the SAP MM module for material master data management, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders. \#LI-Hybrid **Qualifications** **KEY QUALIFICATIONS:** •Bachelor’s degree in applicable subject (e.g., Business, Supply Chain Management, etc.) or equivalent related experience •Related experience based on education (preferable either in a Purchasing or Finance related role or in a field where job knowledge & skills are applicable) •Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail. •Ability to work independently to identify and research relevant market, industry and supplier information. •SAP Purchasing experience highly preferred. •Experience in stakeholder management with strong customer service skills. •Proven track record in working collaboratively with different teams in complex organizations. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Must have strong knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
