Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, including vendor selection, cost analysis, preparation of specifications, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of goods and services.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:Selection of vendor lists.Verify the solvency and technical capacity of the SupplierPreparation and management of requests for quotations.Management of vendor feedback and follow-up after purchase orders.Ensure a minimum of three vendors are contacted for each material/service unless specified otherwise by our clients.Cost and Risk Analysis:Conduct cost analysis and prepare specifications for procurement.Prepare component risk analysis, including possible events, consequences, severity, and suggested mitigation tests.Communicate any cost overruns and justify the technical rating to our clients.Quotation Alignment:Develop and continuously revise technical and economical alignment of quotations. In relation to engineering.Maintain a detailed table for each material/service,Discuss alignment status with our clients.Order Management:Manage the procurement of materials and services, including system packages, equipment, instruments, valves, electrical panels/PLC, site works, software programming, commissioning, start-up services, and material freight.Monitor vendor adherence to contractual delivery times and notify our clients of any deviations.Provide first-level user support on supplier management requests (first contact for issue resolution); and support supplier master file updates for cases in which data discrepancies cause Purchase Order (PO) / Accounts Payable (AP) issues.Quality Control:Check vendor’s inspection test plans and witness/review related test sessions.Prepare a Quality Book, including all vendor’s material certificates and witnessing reports, and hand it over to our clients.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field;Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and cost analysis;Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.);Proficiency in procurement software (SAP / other ERP Soft);Driving license - B category;

Soft Skills:

English language - B2 -C1;Excellent communication skills;Excellent negotiation skills;Ability to work independently;Ability to manage multiple tasks;Willing to go on Business Trips if needed occasionally.

Nice-to-have skills:

Italian language - B2;Experience in the energy sector;Knowledge of quality control processes and risk analysis.
