Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Description

The main function of a service engineer is to represent advance serviceability of design within the Vehicle Development Process. A typical service engineer is responsible for identifying, addressing, or escalating serviceability issues as appropriate utilizing business case analysis.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and communicate service requirements.Develop diagnostic and repair procedures.Attend Product Development Team (PDT) Meetings, Design for Manufacturing (DFMs), and Peer reviews for assigned service subsections.Develop service part release strategies with Service parts Engineering/Design Release Engineers/Suppliers with Subsystem Service Plans (SSSP).Investigate and respond to Problem Tracking Reports (PTRs) and suggested service manual changes.Investigate and respond to Quality Audit Reports and suggested service manual changes.Review Engineering Work Orders (EWOs) for service impact and follow up as required.Identify when special tools are required to perform a vehicle repair.Work with the Special Tool committee to develop and validate special tools.Occasionally perform coordination tasks and projects with a limited scope.Complete special projects as needed.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.2-4 years of experience required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inventory, supply chain, procurement, and purchase orders.Proficiency in Power BI, KNIME, and Microsoft Access.Retail/eCommerce experience.Work Environment

This position involves working at the service operations building located in warren, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
