The integrated full-service solutions leverage a 97-year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter. **Summary** The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory levels and the procurement of materials, goods, or services needed for business operations. This position is responsible for overseeing purchasing activities, tracking inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet production or operational needs. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of San Francisco, CA. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** **Purchasing:** + Manage the purchasing process for all rigging materials including our 2.25 million dollar sales inventory, and other necessary items. + Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. + Prepare purchase orders, track order status, and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery. + Maintain supplier records and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions. + Assist in developing and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply chains. **Inventory Management:** + Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks. Current inventory is around 2.5 million dollars. Physical inventory twice per year(June/ December). + Identify inventory needs based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and historical data. + Update inventory management spreadsheet with par levels to ensure real-time tracking of stock. + Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper storage, handling, and movement of inventory. + Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize stockouts, overstocking, and inventory discrepancies. **Data Analysis & Reporting:** + Analyze inventory trends, usage patterns, and purchasing data to provide recommendations for inventory optimization. + Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order status, and supplier performance. + Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing and inventory management, such as order lead time, inventory turnover, and stock accuracy. **Cross-Departmental Collaboration:** + Work closely with the finance department to track budgets and ensure purchases are within financial constraints. + Collaborate with the production or operations teams to ensure inventory is available to meet production schedules. + Liaise with the sales team to manage inventory levels based on customer demand and sales forecasts. **Compliance & Documentation:** + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards related to purchasing and inventory management. + Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, inventory receipts, and other documentation as required for audits and regulatory purposes. + Support the reconciliation of inventory records with physical stock counts and resolve any discrepancies. **Continuous Improvement:** + Identify opportunities to streamline procurement and inventory processes for greater efficiency and cost savings. + Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in purchasing and inventory management. **Outside Sales Coordination:** + Process Incoming sales orders. From quote until Invoice, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed. + Update all sales information into the Inventory spreadsheet to ensure its accuracy. + Work with the hoist department to ensure all sales are communicated correctly and quoted correctly regarding hoist sales. **Education & Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required + 5+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain-related roles + Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) + Experience with vendor negotiations, order processing, and inventory control + Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks + Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred + Knowledge of supply chain management principles and inventory control methods + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs required **Travel Requirements** Travel up to 25% **What We Offer** Freeman provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
