Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchase requisitions, reviewing supplier responses, managing open orders and deliveries, and handling invoice exceptions using SAP and SAP Ariba. The role involves daily sourcing and transactional tasks, with a focus on indirect materials and services not covered by strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will engage with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of purchases and prevent operational interruptions.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, review, and process purchase requisitions regularly within SAP and SAP Ariba.Review supplier responses and manage open orders and deliveries.Handle invoice exceptions efficiently.Conduct daily sourcing and transactional tasks.Source indirect materials and services not managed through strategic initiatives.Proactively engage with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of purchases and prevent operational interruptions.Facilitate communication requests as needed.Essential SkillsExperience with procurement, ERP, and purchase order management.At least 1 year of experience with ERP/SAP systems.Experience in supply chain management and purchase order processes.Proficiency in supplier and vendor management.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.Strong attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks and work with a sense of urgency.Good verbal and written communication skills.Professional dress.Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at various organizational levels.Experience in purchase orders through invoice clearance.Procurement, accounts payable, supply chain, or a related business field.Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP, or other large ERP systems.Familiarity with AI tools such as CoPilot.Work Environment
This role is based on-site at our campus. The project is a 6-month engagement, with a possibility of transitioning to a direct hire position, although this is not guaranteed. Candidates can apply for full-time roles while on contract. The work environment is professional, and collaboration with various organizational levels is essential.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
