Description

The position will perform sourcing of goods and services for the business including the areas of indirect purchases, MRO purchases, Fleet, contract labor services, direct material purchases, negotiating, establishing, and managing vendor contract agreements. The position analyzes and monitors supplier performance, which includes initiating and managing ongoing projects to reduce overall procurement costs and improve supplier flexibility, delivery, and performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Procure and evaluate rates provided to Pelliconi by suppliers to establish competitive prices while maintaining proper communication.Responsible for monitoring monthly purchases to annual purchases to assure receiving rebate at the end of the year.Send PO’s for release depending on validation strategy as well as to suppliers or the person in chargeParticipate in the expo and monitor market trends to stay current on new products and changes that may affect the supply and demand of a needed productDevelop category strategy and supplier market knowledgeWork with Buyers to ensure all rates and agreements are appropriately administered in the Purchase-to-pay (P2P) processParticipate and support department/group comprehensive projects when requiredServe as the primary supply chain liaison between North American manufacturing plants and headquarters in EuropeResponsible for determining the best carrier based on quote and route Submit to the Internal sales department freight cost when neededProvide annual freight price for the commercial department when submitting RFP’s to customerSubmit claims to carriers when goods have been damaged in transitFind good sources for recycled materials to sell at the best price or conditionsIdentify and eliminate waste and/or variability in the supply chainResponsible to look for new opportunities to improve energy efficiencyReview and design logistics operations to improve company operational efficiency and reduce costs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
