Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Industries Division in Zagreb.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tExecuting purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.•\tDesigning and implementing plans for sourcing to meet Europe level business targets and collaborating with vendors. Supporting global sourcing initiatives as required.•\tProviding support for sales activities within procurement operations on a project basis.•\tApplying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes to ensure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability; supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.•\tCreating and updating reports following ABB standards; executing and implementing new directions within the area of responsibility.•\tApplying standards on health, safety, environment, and business ethics in operational work, contract management, and negotiations; delivering and participating in training programs for compliance and professional development.•\tExecuting effective and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units and centers; standardizing processes and implementing routines as per Group directives/instructions.You will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleYou have at least 3 years of experience in Procurement and/or project execution in Process Industries (Metals, Pulp & Paper, and/or similar), with a strong technical focus on automation and drive systems. You are immersed in working with technical procurement related to automation (PLC, HMI, DCS, etc.) and/or drive systems (LV and/or MV drives) and/or LV/MV products and systems, and the Process Industries (Metals, Pulp & Paper, and/or similar) market. You possess an enhanced knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles and practices in project businesses, including vendor base definition & management, audits, and contract negotiation. You are passionate about regulatory standards and compliance requirements in procurement, and you are innovative around analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and achieving goals. You have a demonstrated track record in advanced knowledge of both spoken and written English language, and you are at ease communicating in Croatian. You are available to travel for short business trips (vendor audits and visits, customer sites etc..)
