ESTIMATED PAY RANGE $65,000 - $90,000 annually, DOE JOB SUMMARY As a Procurement Specialist, you may: manage purchasing activity for concurrent new product development programs; create, forecast, and execute sourcing and tooling plans to ensure product launch meets all program targets for quality, cost, and timing; manage direct material cost of the product; assist with R&D, co-design, and innovation; influence sourcing decisions for new product; work with suppliers to ensure commitments and project deliverables; manage negotiation and implementation of all technical modifications; manage the prototype ordering (RFQ, negotiation, ordering), and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners. QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline or Supply Chain management or Associate Degree in an Engineering discipline or Supply Chain management with 5+ years of relevant experience required + Experience with product development cycle and purchasing methodologies required + Excellent written and verbal communication skills required + Advanced knowledge of MS Office required SKILLS AND VALUES + Capable of working independently and as a team member + Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity + Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset + Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking + Effective verbal and written communication + Desire to work on a variety of projects ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please consider joining Applied’s team of talented employees!
