This position will proactively take measures to avoid delays in material procurement when supply chain interruptions appear likely. The duties include but not limited to: + Maintain records and reports dealing with compiling documentation to review and authorize requisitions. + Determine appropriate acquisition procedure dealing with state contracts, quotes, bids, inventory controlled for the Ferry Division warehouse, processing purchase orders and inventory materials through the SAP, Ariba, and Service Now programs. + Ensure all inventory levels are maintained according to Field Fiscal Manual. + Responsible for supporting three field inventory plants, ensuring all inventory transfers are accounted for and all purchasing is procured according to proper policies and procedures. + Responsible for creating, receiving, and posting all surplus property for bid from the warehouse. + Evaluate and implement improved storage solutions to effectively meet material needs for scheduled maintenance periods. + Review, create and process payment options and invoices concerning purchases throughout the Ferry Division. + Supervise warehouse personnel at state shipyard and coordinate and communicate with field inventory plants for scheduling delivery of materials and review supply orders as received at warehouse. + Responsible for creating requisitions to purchase all fuel and oil for the entire Ferry Division and ordering & keeping inventory control over lube/oil products in the warehouse. This position will work out of the NC Ferry Shipyard Warehouse in Manns Harbor Working hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following: + General knowledge of economics and methods of transportation and purchasing. + Skill in maintaining or supervising the maintenance of records of some complexity, and to prepare reports or tabulations from these records + Demonstrated ability to apply and interpret established rules and regulations. + Experience in EBS/SAP/Ariba or other related software.
