Main ingredients of the job: As a Produce Inspector at US FOODS, you will: 

Perform daily inspections of incoming fresh produce deliveries and inventory in accordance with USDA guidelines. 

Ensure that all fresh produce meets US FOODS standard specifications. 

Maintain records of inspections. 

Collaborate with warehouse management to address food safety concerns. 

Make recommendations on product disposition, dump and damage, or repackaging. 

 

What you bring to the table: 

Education/Training: High School Diploma required. 

Related Experience/Requirements: 

2 years of experience in produce or other perishable receiving and inspection preferred. Ability to make decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of fresh produce. Effective communication skills to liaise effectively with warehouse management. Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping of fresh produce. 

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 6 pm

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.  The expected base rate for this role is between $21 and $30.
