If you love sports, WSSP 1250AM THE FAN, Southeast Wisconsin’s longest standing SportsTalk radio station, is looking for an energetic sports fan to join our team as a part-time producer for our sports shows. Initial primary responsibilities will be running the post game shows, screening callers, communicating with the host, editing highlights and possibly reporting during intermission on sports news and scores. Additional responsibilities will be requested as the station needs to continue to adjust.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do:
Producing local sports talk showsProducing Sports Programs including Pre / Post Games of Bucks, Brewers and moreScreening live callers and social media comments during showsEditing/uploading programs to podcastSocial media promotion as neededScheduling guests and live interviews.Researching broadcast topics.Protecting the station’s FCC license.Assisting in the development of on-air promotions.Providing creative input on broadcast elements.Overseeing live remote broadcasts.Contributing to social networking and website updates.Other duties as required by management. QualificationsMore About You:
Required & Preferred:
Must be computer literate; requires creative approach and ability to prioritize.Knowledge of automation and production software is a plus.Able to assist on air talent in LIVE situations and minor production.Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential.
