As a Wholesale Insurance Broker you will solicit, develop and maintain relationships with retail brokers/agencies to generate new revenue streams focused on Property and Casualty products and services. This role is vital to the success of the P&C division of SWIS. As a Wholesale Insurance Producer you will be supported by leadership and service teams to achieve a high level of growth, and you will be the cornerstone of our superior customer service and will be charged with ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities of the Producer role include, but are not limited to:
Generating and pursuing new client opportunitiesPresenting our services and solutions to clientsBringing new business prospects to closureRetaining clients by maintaining solid relationshipsProspect, identify, develop new clientsPrepare/assist in contracting of clients and any required paperworkDevelop and maintain current knowledge of SWIS’ core business partners and their productsWork optimally with team to ensure sales targets are achievedWork with clients to ensure the optimal coverage is offered, including quoting and/or follow-upSupport clients by providing technical support, product education, etc.Maintain industry memberships/licenses with regulatory bodiesAttend and participate in ongoing education for industry knowledgeJob Requirements
In the Wholesale Insurance Sales Producer role, you must be an independent self-starter who is able to solicit and develop strong relationships with retail agencies. We are seeking confident professionals who are not afraid of cold-calling and developing new business. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced and novice professionals alike, with a range of 3-15 years of experience in insurance sales and/or underwriting.
Other requirements of the Producer role include, but are not limited to:
3+ years of previous experience in sales and/or underwriting.Bachelor’s degree required.Property and casualty experience highly preferred.Must be sales driven and enjoy business development with the ability to develop, foster and maintain excellent working relationships.Ability to understand client’s needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated.Required to obtain the appropriate state licensing within 90 days of hire.Preference given to those with existing insurance licensure and/or industry designations.Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.Detail-orientedStrong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills requiredThe preferred candidate is a team player with a great attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentDisclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $125,000 to $1,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
