Product Analyst, Sr. (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office - VA)

Our Impact:

The Product Analysis Senior Role will work in the Customer Technologies division within Single-Family, Freddie Mac’s largest line of business. This role conducts the analysis work to help develop and drive the product vision. Specifically, this role will support the product management of a Pricing Manager Application (PMA) modernization product team. These capabilities are critical to the entire LSA business processes.

Your Impact:

Understand the business strategy for prioritization of the product backlog

Use data & analytics to identify the requirements and acceptance criteria needed, as well as approach for implementing

Work with the team to develop offering solutions across an extensive range of external systems

Interact with internal customers and subject matter authorities to acquire feedback on solutions and design to validate and refine value, or shift to something new

Provide analytical support for product management

Support the end-to-end product strategy from inception and drive business value once solution enters production

Ensure alignment of product features i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with product vision and in support of the Pricing and SF business priorities

Ensure customer-focused design considering user problems & performance, risk and offering operational efficiency leading to the improvement of the LSA delivery process and enable faster funding

Facilitate collaboration of cross-organizational teams to establish, develop, implement and roll out new and enhanced capabilities

Qualifications:

College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred

Typically has 5 - 7 years related experience

Minimum of 3 years of mortgage related experience with validated experience in secondary mortgage and sophisticated data related work with strong data analytic skills

Proven track record understanding business needs and complete analysis activities required to support that need; along with an ability to understand strategy and apply to day-to-day decisions

Experience working using the Agile methodology with active participation in Agile ceremonies

Strong analytical and problem-solving thought processes, and translating results into user stories

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to facilitate meetings and work across Product teams

Experience advising and negotiating with internal and external partners on business solutions

Keys to Success in this Role:

Hands-on experience performing sophisticated business analysis tasks that support the business direction and ensure a customer-centric design that considers user problems, performance, risk, and ability to offer operational efficiency to improve the overall LSA delivery process

Strong analytical abilities and proven track record to work with partners to ask probing questions to elicit and document requirements clearly into user stories based on business driven functionality and technical capabilities

Support team in development process by working to define technical requirements based on product knowledge

Perform as an active contributor throughout Product development by providing constructive support to the Product Owner and IT team required to make product decisions and seeing opportunities to improve

Ability to work effectively with various teams across Freddie Mac organization, including Ops, COTS, Sales, etc., to support Product team goals.

Provide status updates and adhere to established product governance, controls, and processes

Working in a driven environment and managing multiple requests and tasks to completion at the same time

Ability to use data to help advise strategy and direction

Experience working with Modern Delivery teams

Ability to have fun as part of a high energy team

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $96,000 - $144,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
