Product Analyst
Job Summary:

If you are interested in becoming a Product Management professional and looking for an opportunity to grow, the Actuation Technologies team at Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Pune, India location, you will develop and implement marketing activities for your product lines to achieve internal and external sales, profitability, and customer service goals. You will take an active role in supporting sales & operations activities, developing & executing the value strategy, and maximizing product/brand positioning.

As a Product Analyst, you will apply your existing skills while learning the fundamentals of product management from your peers and leaders. You will be expected to learn quickly while being closely supported as you start your product management journey.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Monitor, analyze, and research the market, competition, technology developments, and user needs / voice of customer within assigned product line segments  Formulate, maintain, and communicate a value-based product roadmap designed to increase sales and profitability Working with other stakeholder functions, Identify and execute portfolio-enhancing improvement and/or cost-out programs – includes features, enhancements, and rationalization / obsolescence programs  Develop pricing strategy and guidelines for the assigned product lines, including setting list prices Maintain existing and develop new marketing documentation and programs to promote sales and profitability of your products Develop product promotion objectives and leads the development of the advertising, catalogue and marketing promotion plans Maintain existing and develop new product training content Actively manage the financial success of the portfolio, including orders growth and sales margin across all World Areas Analyze market & project activity to prepare sales forecasts for use in the planning of manufacturing operations and for controlling inventories Support Sales with expert knowledge, growth ideas, and setting clear quote / no quote guidelines  Develop and communicate product health reports with clear recommendations for needed improvements Participate actively in the Total Quality process including project team involvement, problem solving, and recommendation of solutions to enhance and improved quality of department and/or company-wide business initiatives

You understand how the business makes money and connect programs & decisions to business impact. You work well with others and have been a valued team member in the past. 

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or Business 2-5 years of engineering, sales, or marketing experience in a related industry Attention to detail and superior analytical skills Ability to handle multiple priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills
