Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Analyst, Verification & Validation Engineer for Refrigeration at our Technical Center location in Monterrey, Apodaca. For product approval documentation ensuring validation and verification of performance, codes, safety, and regulatory requirements. Test plans aligned with the platform team, executable according to WPD project timelines. Continuous improvement activities for future projects
Your responsibilities will includeExecute of V&V strategy & verification roadmapDrive MBSE, SBD and other verification methods to reduce physical testing. Leverage supplier labs for component verification testing.Assess V&V methodology to ensure robustness to requirements given allowed design variation and expected use case variation. Use critical thought / physics to help determine alternate design concepts to improve product or reduce risks.Support continuous improvement of consumer satisfaction through internal validation correlations as identified by Quality Function Deployment (QFD) assessments. Utilize FMEA’s to ID functional requirements, failure modes and detection methodsPlan and drive core V&V activities throughout execution of Production Development Projects and over the manufacturing lifetime of the product.Align validation and verification plan with system integrator and subsystem teams per project timeline and proactively manage execution.Ensure accuracy and clarity of lab requests / reports.Identify product configurations and quantities of units needed to build planning and physical testing.Disposition all non compliant test results and identify any exceptions that represent risks to product leadership, manufacturing other relevant partners.Leverage safety audits to identify, evaluate and close potential safety hazards.
Manufacturing Quality Leads to ensure process conformance and complianceMinimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
2+ years’ experience in product development
1+ years’ experience in Growth & Innovation projects (G&I)
Preferred skills and experiences3+ years Engineering & Technical product development experience. Diversity of experience preferred.
Proven tactical execution.
Requirement management.
Verification and Validation.
Knowledge in a given category is preferred.
Lab operations.
Technical
GPO core (APQP, DFS, Sys Engr., Proj. Mgmt, WPD) competencies per WeLearn role guidelines.
Opex Green Belt Certified
QFD, FMEA, Reliability and product safety tools.
Leadership
Ability to work effectively with cross functional partners.
Continuous improvement mindset: ability to ‘do and improve the work’
