**Product Complaint Specialist**

**Job Specifications:**
+ **Job Type:** Hybrid (2 days from home, 3 days on site)
+ **Pay Rate:** $24-25 per hour (Depending on experience)
+ **Shift:** Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
+ **Length of Assignment:** Until the end of 2025, with a possibility of extension
**Responsibilities:**
+ Support global reporting obligations and manage communication between manufacturers, distributors, and competent authorities for medical device complaints.
+ Assist with or submit medical device event reports in accordance with local laws and regulations.
+ Receive, document, and evaluate complaint information.
+ Communicate with physicians, their staff, and/or patients to obtain pertinent complaint information as required.
+ Evaluate and escalate critical or unusual events to appropriate management.
+ Collaborate with internal departments (Quality, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and R&D) to gather necessary input for reports.
+ Review complaint manufacturing investigation reports and provide comments.
+ Perform and/or document regulatory reportability decisions on complaints.
+ Code complaints and adverse events using IMDRF terminologies and codes.
+ Ensure timely processing of complaints and review and closure of complaint files.
+ Communicate with local and international competent authorities, including generating and submitting reports as required.
+ Assist local affiliates with the preparation and submission of medical device complaints and incident reports.
+ Participate in preparation for Notified Body audits and Competent Authority inspections.
+ Support root cause investigations and participate in CAPA activities.
+ Assist with complaint handling trending activities and data requests.
+ Support department projects and participate in cross-functional projects.
+ **Requirements:**
+ College degree preferred.
+ Knowledge of ophthalmic medical terms, medical device reporting regulations, and GMPs for medical devices preferred.
+ Strong written, oral, and listening communication skills.
+ Ability to generate and organize clear, concise responses for various levels of management.
+ Superior organizational skills to manage challenging deadlines.
+ Ability to adapt to change with minimal interruption.
+ Problem-solving skills with the ability to suggest applicable solutions.
+ Ability to work independently and make decisions as appropriate.
+ Proficient in personal computer use, including database management and word processing.
