About the role This position is responsible for product configuration management which includes development, maintenance, updates, automation, and optimization within Oracle that support the goals and objectives of the global strategic product roadmap. Requires direct collaboration with Product Management, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Information Technology (IT) on maintaining and updating Product configurations within Oracle, excel based product configuration workbooks, and drawings. This role requires a strong understanding of optical fiber technology, manufacturing processes, and quality control. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure product performance and reliability. Manage and control product configuration Bill of Materials (BOMs). Define material requirements and allowable material and component substitutions. Develop, update, and control excel based product configuration workbooks per global product configuration roadmap strategy. Propose potential reduction of production configurations to streamline product configurations within Oracle and excel based product configuration workbooks. Update and create product configurations within Oracle as required. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on new or updated product configurations within Oracle Dev and QA environments prior to production release. Set product configuration Bill of Material (BOM) rules within Oracle and excel based product configuration workbooks for global product families. Utilize and optimize mass load tools to implement broad based product configuration updates. Define/Coordinate/support product configuration selection option within product configurators for lead-time, cost, and manufacturing site. Coordinate updates to spec sheets, drawings, and documentation to align with product configurations. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in optical fiber technology. Qualifications Technical Skills Ability to manage projects, including planning, execution and monitoring, to ensure successful implementation of configurations Understanding system design principles to create scalable and efficient product configurations Must have strong Excel skills Working experience with Oracle Behavioral Skills Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, along with internal and external customers and key stakeholders Problem Solving - Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions Teamwork - Ability to work well in a team environment and foster collaboration and cooperation Education & Experience Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Industrial/Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required Minimum 4 years of experience in Product or Mechanical Engineering Experience with high-density fiber optic cable assemblies Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, TIA, and Telcordia What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
