Product Configuration Engineer

Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a Product Configuration Engineer to join our team in Batavia, OH. As a Product Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the configuration of products throughout their lifecycle. This role typically involves working closely with product development, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure that products meet customer requirements and are produced efficiently.

Work You’ll Do:

Perform and manage day-to-day configuration management activities related to product configurations, options compatibilities, and engineering documents in accordance with product configuration management process

Manage the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for configuration management of products/projects

Ensure proper use of PLM system and end-to-end implementation of the Configuration Management practices on assigned projects

Participate in the analysis of requirements for Configuration Management, prepare time estimates during project phases, and identify potential risks

Ensure consistency of information in the Configuration Management system for products

Participate in creation of Product Breakdown Structure (PBS)

Work closely with product development, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure configuration management processes are integrated seamlessly

Support the resolution of configuration management issues across the product and project lifecycles, ensuring that corrective actions are escalated and completed in a timely manner

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Electromechanical Engineering, or other related field

5+ years of experience in engineering product design, product release, and configuration management

Familiarity with configuration management software, CAD tools, and data analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PTC Windchill software
