Responsibilities also include contributing to email campaigns for Skechers.com. In this position, the Product Copywriter helps shape how customers perceive and interact with the brand across various platforms, with their writing being instrumental in presenting Skechers' innovative products and reinforcing its market-leading position.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of five to six months.
Essential Job Responsibilities-
Write compelling and engaging product descriptions for U.S. and International websites
Write clear, engaging copy for each target audience
Ensure that the company’s content presents the actual picture of the products and is consistent with the brand
Think creatively, translating ideas and visual concepts into copy that can also easily translate into other languages
Translate product to other mediums, such as email campaigns
Be extremely detail-oriented but also creative with email copy
Ensure all International sites are getting current products translated and published
Proof own work and others
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements-
Ability to work on-site at the Skechers Headquarters in Manhattan Beach, CA
Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills
Understanding of key SEO terms as well as key product terms
Knowledge of AP style
Knowledge of HTML formatting desired
Detail oriented
Ability to adapt, collaborate, multi-task, and prioritize effectively
Solid organizational skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Excellent time management and quantitative/analytical skills required
Proficient with Microsoft Office – primarily Excel
Understanding of CRM and CMS platforms such as COMPASS, Salesforce, or similar systems desired
Education and Experience-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field, with an emphasis on writing
2+ years of relatable professional writing and editing experience
The pay range for this role is $30-$34/hr USD
