Job Title: Product Design Engineer
Job Description

The primary role will be product design engineering, part detailing (3D CAD), and prototype procurement for new industry products from preliminary concept through production implementation. 80-90% of the day will be spent behind a CAD station. This is a fast-paced environment where projects are completed within 1-2 days. The position involves working on both new product concepts and refinements on existing product lines. The engineer will be responsible for translating these designs into communication tools to work with the Marketing, Program Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams for product launches. The role also includes providing alternative design solutions, analyses, justifications, and recommendations at the concept stage. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

ResponsibilitiesDesign engineering for new industry products from preliminary concept through production implementation.Detailing parts using 3D CAD software.Procurement of prototypes.Spending 80-90% of the day behind a CAD station.Working in a fast-paced environment with project completion within 1-2 days.Developing both new product concepts and refining existing product lines.Translating designs into communication tools for Marketing, Program Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams.Providing alternative design solutions, analyses, justifications, and recommendations at the concept stage.Essential SkillsBS or Associates in Engineering.3+ years of design experience.Proficiency in Solidworks for creating part and assembly models and detail drawings.Experience with projects from concept development through final release.Experience with wire, metals including sheet metal, plastics, wood displays or POP (point of purchase).Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of sheet metal, steel wire, plastic extrusion, and injection molding design.Familiarity with various manufacturing and fabrication processes.Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. The work environment is fast-paced with projects completed within 1-2 days. Most of the work involves detailed design and part detailing using 3D CAD software, spending 80-90% of the day behind a CAD station.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $92000.00/yr.
