Job Title: Design Engineer Job Description The primary role will be product design engineering, part detailing (3D CAD), and prototype procurement for new industry products from preliminary concept through production implementation. This position requires spending 80-90% of the day behind a CAD station in a fast-paced environment where projects are completed within 1-2 days. The engineer will work on both new product concepts and refinements on existing product lines and will be responsible for translating these designs into communication tools for Marketing, Program Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams for product launches. This role is a hybrid position, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Responsibilities + Create and detail part designs using 3D CAD software. + Procure prototypes for new industry products. + Complete projects within 1-2 days in a fast-paced environment. + Develop new product concepts and refine existing product lines. + Translate designs into communication tools for various departments. + Provide alternative design solutions, analyses, justifications, and recommendations at the concept stage. Essential Skills + 3+ years of design experience. + Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating part and assembly models and detail drawings. + Experience working on projects from concept development through final release. + Ability to work with wire, metals including sheet metal, plastics, wood displays.
