You will be part of a mechanical product design team responsible for conceiving, designing and producing exciting new products. **Description** While contributing to the mechanical design of Apple’s products, you will work closely with many cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Thermal, Safety, Packaging, Wireless, EMC, and Operations. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering + 1 or more years of experience in product design + Experience developing parts and assemblies in 3-D CAD + Knowledge of plastic and metal part design + Knowledge of design cycle from concept to manufacturing + Innovative thinking, high personal motivation, deep engineering capability + Ability to travel internationally (up to 20%) **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Masters Degree in an Engineering discipline + Experience in plastic and metal part design + Experience with design cycle from concept to manufacturing + High volume mass production experience + Experience with FEA for mechanical parts + Experience in the areas of: GD&T, Tolerance Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Design of Experiments **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** **Pay & Benefits** + At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
