Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Product Designer specializing in exterior design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and controlling all design records, providing CAD support, and participating in various engineering and design activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a new OEM abroad from the early stages and help implement new standards of practice.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain and control all design records such as OEM drawings, Supplier drawings, internal drawings, and Packaging drawings.Provide CAD support for all new designs as well as engineering changes, acting as the gatekeeper of all engineering changes.Provide CAD support for all quote activities.Support any other CAD requests (e.g., Plant layouts, data conversions).Assist in the development of DVPs.Attend meetings as required.Coordinate and track testing.Solicit quotations from suppliers.Help with identifying tooling suppliers.Implement data management.Troubleshoot engineering-related issues.Work with the ECR systemAssist in the approval of all 18 elements to achieve PPAP.Engage in continuous improvement opportunities as required.Maintain compliance with IATF / ISO 9001 / ISO standards.Essential SkillsProficiency in UGNX and NX.Experience with exterior trim, exterior body, and plastics injection molding.Knowledge of attachment design, fascia, bumper, fender, and exteriors.Prototype design, mechanical design, and tooling.Design engineering and design for manufacturing.File management and quality standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with bumpers or fenders is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00
