Product Designer (Sr Manager) - Product Design & Excellence
Overview Job Title: Product Designer (Sr Manager) - Product Design & Excellence Employer: PepsiCo, Inc. Location: 7701 Legacy Dr, Plano, TX 75024 Responsibilities Duties: Work to develop and deliver scalable digital solutions across the value chain. Execute end-to-end product design for new digital products, processes, and reports. Research, brainstorm, conceptualize and design powerful, effective, and digitally enabled user-centered solutions. Act as an advocate for the end user in all product design decisions. Develop and implement design standards and best practices for digital product development to ensure consistency. Specifically, execute current state assessment of existing processes through interviews, time activity analyses, process observations, and surveys; develop user stories and customer journeys to identify pain points and digitization opportunities; consult with business stakeholders, decide and execute future state product design through sketches, wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes, communicating rationale for design-related decisions to senior business leadership as needed; consult with business stakeholders and execute business case development to estimate potential value realization from digitization opportunities; inform engineers and developers about future state design of digital products, ensuring product meets intended design and organizational standards and requirements; execute iterative design processes by translating user testing insights and feedback into actionable solutions; monitor digital product performance and maintenance requests; evaluate products in use by business stakeholders and tracks KPIs and metrics to determine the success of specific design decisions; execute product design best practices to support user-centric, digital experiences on multiple platforms; execute digital product design standards and methods. *Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the PepsiCo, Inc. office in Plano, Texas. Qualifications Job Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or equivalent, and six (6) years’ experience in offered or related roles developing and designing digital products and tools; Process re-engineering, Process Transformation, Intelligent Automation, and Technologies including RPA/Chatbot/AI/ML; Understanding business requirements, defining product features and designing end-to-end digital user experiences, balancing business needs with simple, intuitive, and engaging user-centered solutions; design hand-off to Developers and Engineers through detailed documentation and specifications; Applying design principles, user-centered design, design thinking, lean / agile best practices and tools; involvement in digital transformation; Collaborating with proven ability to work in and manage expectations within cross-functional, global teams; Possessing deep user empathy, focused on user experience, and resolving user pain points through design; Analytical and creative problem-solving with ability to simplify complex problems; Working on digital product (primarily automation, reporting & analytics) design and Collaborating with business and peers to drive change. Must have five (5) years with application of the latest UI/UX standards, trends and tools. 10% Domestic & International travel required.
