An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and dynamic Product Developer in the Bakery sector. The role involves driving product innovation, developing cost-effective and factory-oriented products, and managing the end-to-end product development process. Key responsibilities include customer presentations, maintaining accurate documentation, managing NPD timelines, and staying on top of market trends. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.

Responsibilities:

Develop innovative and cost-effective bakery products that align with factory capabilities. Manage the critical path of new product development (NPD) projects, ensuring timely product launches. Conduct professional product presentations to customers, exceeding expectations on product quality and innovation. Ensure accurate documentation of NPD recipes and related information is captured and up-to-date. Stay informed on local and global market trends, identifying opportunities for business growth. Build strong relationships with customers and manage project timelines effectively. Provide hands-on support in the factory or kitchen when necessary to assist with product development.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Food Science/Technology or related field. Minimum 3-year Diploma in Advanced Culinary Arts or Food Preparation & Cooking. 1-5 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry. Passion for baking and an interest in the bakery sector. Own transport is essential. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. Excellent planning, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Customer-oriented with the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of industry trends and market competition.
