The **Product Developer** will lead RFP responses on behalf of the Energy Transition business development team and manage and continuously improve the new pursuit and content response as the team targets growth opportunities. A key priority within this role, is to continuously scan the market for new opportunities for the Energy Transition team to add or expand offerings related to energy efficiency, ebikes, heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, EV/chargers, battery storage, demand response, solar or other devices supporting these technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with program management staff, internal teams, and external partners to improve internal, client and market facing solutions. In this role, you will be working with others who are passionate about energy and sustainability and making a positive impact on the industry. **What you can expect from APTIM:** + Work that is worthy of your time and talent + Respect and flexibility to live a full life at work and at home + Dogged determination to deliver for our clients and communities + A voice in making our company better + Investment into your personal and professional development **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Lead writing & content development efforts for RFP's and opportunities of various sizes with a primary focus on Energy Transition efforts. + Utilize interpretation skillset to interview technical and program staff to extract critical information from team SME's and synthesize information to create RFP content for review. + Incorporate the use of AI to streamline the RFP process and product development, including phased review of AI responses. + Lead research for new product lines as part of the BD process. + Support business development as lead writer. + Developing and maintaining proposal management tools such as compliance matrices, schedules, outlines, storyboards, win themes, and action items. + Conceptualizing and developing strategic win themes and discriminators. + Writing and editing proposal/marketing narrative. + Leveraging existing archived proposal information. + Tracking all solicitation amendments and modifications. + Performing quality and compliance checks of all proposal sections and volumes. + Participating in the development of oral presentation slide concepts and scripting, as needed. + Closely interacting with capture managers, program and project managers, strategic business unit leaders, and technical professionals. + Develop strategy for conference and public facing presentations led by BD or team SME's and create and maintain an annual calendar of presentation opportunities. + Continuously scan the market for new opportunities to add or expand products while engaging internal teams to assess, fest and implement these improvements or expansions. + Utilize understanding of the utility industry and requirements of state, local and federal proposal process. + Highly motivated individual that can apply creative approaches to solving problems. + Support and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders. + All other duties as assigned. + Ensure compliance with all APTIM and client quality and safety policies. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience. + Minimum 4-6+ years of experience in proposal development and writing within the energy efficiency/DSM market and/or electric mobility space. + Outstanding written and oral communications skills with the ability to develop and deliver effective project materials and presentations. + Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and the broader organization. + Ability to work independently and within a team environment while interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. + Strong time management skills. + Proficient in Microsoft Office software -- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI. Experience with visual content creation and infographics a desired plus. + Able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines. + Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to manage competing priorities with established deadlines. + Strong written and oral communication skills and experience with client engagement. + Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and the broader. organization. + Ability to think critically to solve issues and provide resolutions. **Desired/Preferred Qualifications:** + PMP, or similar certification or the desire to obtain. + Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders. **Who we are and what we do:** APTIM is a global industry leader headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
