The Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for TWDC, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and also licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products.

DMG is hiring for a Product Development Coordinator, who will report to the Director of Product Development. The role will be responsible for creating packaging copy and proofing all graphic assets that come through the department. In addition, the position will help with general department requests and needs, such as sales and marketing requests, researching assets/projects and more. Also, the role will take on special assignments and projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

Creating packaging copy and proofing of all graphic assets for physical and digital products and assets which entails using various systems, such as repertoire database, work management applications and collaborating with other departments within and outside of DMGHandle various Sales and Marketing asset requests which includes coordinating, proofing and routing for approvalProvide support with our internal scheduling system and repertoire database updates, as well as assist Product Development Director, Manager and Creative team with various tasks and projects related to research and gathering of art assets as neededSpecial assignments and project support as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 years of experience in production, product development or the music industryStrong knowledge of English grammarAttention to detail, problem solving and accuracy is criticalStrong work ethicProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and WordAnalytical thinker who can adapt and learn new systemsMust be highly organized and detail oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks daily and prioritize based on deadlinesPositive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

The hiring range for this position in California is $56,000 to $64,130 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
