In this position…
This role will be to lead Design and release responsibilities for Electro-Mechanical sensors and actuators for automatic transmissions, Hybrid and BEV drive units.
In this role you will be working on both current model and future model development work. This role requires a motivated engineer with strong technical, communication and organizational skills due to complexity of the sub-systems and components and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot warranty, supplier quality and Plant assembly issues. Strong engineering skills and prior Design and Release background is required.

Minimum
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering required. 3 + Years - Prior Automotive or similar Electro-Mechanical component experience. (Sensors and Actuators) 3 + Years - Experience solving quality issues using 8D, Six Sigma, 5 Why problem-solving methods and implementing corrective actions for production as well as prevent recurrence for the future. 3 + Years - Ability to review and assess 2D/3D CAD data, stacks and VSA studies. Ability to interpret electrical schematics is preferred. Strong Verbal and Written communication skills. Strong engineering and prior Design and Release background.

What you'll do…
Design and release responsibilities for Electro-Mechanical sensors and actuators for automatic transmissions, Hybrid and BEV drive units. (Park Modules, Transmissions Range Sensors, Solenoids). Support transmission systems and PTO plants in the resolution of warranty, supplier quality and plant assembly or test issues. Lead CPMT meetings with cross functional teams (Internal and external). Report program status to transmission systems departments and at Internal design reviews. Develop and maintain quality documents: DFMEA, SCCAF and DVP&R. Interface with suppliers to support problem solving, implement design and process improvements. Support component Peer Reviews for Electro-Hydraulic components. Interface with systems engineers, calibrators & plant team members to resolve technical & assembly issues
