Job Overview
At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. As an Intern in the Industrial Business Unit, you will
Work with the team’s engineers to concept, prototype, and test potential new product designs for use in outdoor lighting, robotics, or warehouse automation applications.
Participate in the development process will provide opportunities to interact with manufacturing, product management, test laboratory and sustaining engineering teams to successfully bring new products to TE Connectivity’s customers.
Responsibilities
At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:
• Develop new product design concepts and present to internal teams and external customers.
Gain knowledge on typical simulation techniques used in early product development.
Coordinate the creation of prototypes to show proof of concept.
Create design of experiment plans to test products in various stress states.
Prepare and participate in design reviews, failure mode and effects analysis reviews and quality planning for new products.
Interact with team members on cost savings and CO2 reduction/sustainability projects.
Provide project updates during cross functional project team meetings.
Document results and provide a summary presentation to the engineering team at the end of the internship.
You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
• Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.)
• Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.24--$40.84/HOUR (subject to change dependent on physical location)

What TE Connectivity Internship Program offers
TE has a robust internship program that provides our interns with an abundance of resources to feel included as part of our Team. Every summer we coordinate various educational and networking events for our interns. The TE University Relations team will be hosting virtual meetups, information sessions, tours, skill building presentations, and topping it off with National Intern Day celebration activities.

Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10–12-week program, interns will be provided with:

Timeline
TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
