Product Development Lab Technician

As a Product Development Lab Technician, you will provide lab support activity as a member of the Product Development DCS-COE team. This role may support multiple customers, projects, and work across Product Development Project Leaders.

This role will work onsite at our Cleveland, OH facility and report to the Group Leader, Product Development DCS-COE.

Responsibilities:

Follow lab standard work for sample preparation and testing of paint samples.Independently recognize problems and unusual results in their work and identify root causes & countermeasures.Interpret data and make recommendations for future work.Complete proactive 5S and lab upkeep including some maintenance of lab equipment.Adherence to company EHS policy.Ability to collaborate with other technical associates to plan, prepare, and execute experiments related to material design and modification.Support projects focused on customer or production issues including custom or special projects as well as standard process activities.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required.Additional coursework in chemistry strongly preferred.1+ years of experience in production, testing and/or spraying automotive paints and coatings is preferred.Basic computer literacy required.
